My Story
Leslie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience working in child welfare and mental health. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UAB and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama in 1999. She began her career in the field of foster care and adoption at King’s Home and later at the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home helping families care for children from hard places. During her career, she has served as a therapist in a variety of settings including residential treatment for adolescents, day treatment for veterans experiencing mental health crises, non-profit counseling ministry, and private practice.
Leslie offers professional counseling for couples and individuals experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, divorce, infidelity, codependence, spiritual issues, adoption and attachment related challenges. She has a level II certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques that are individualized to help each client achieve their goals and experience peace, restoration, and healing. She has a passion for helping couples increase emotional connection, resolve conflict, improve communication, increase intimacy, and love each other well. |
